letters.

It's so weird to think that all of my friends are almost done with their spring semester! It feels like it went by fast (maybe that's because I didn't have to do any of the schoolwork or go to class and deal with stupid professors) So good luck on your finals all my college goers.
This is the part of me that is NOT jealous about you guys being in school, I am happy to be without the stress of finals.

Hokay- well let's see.. Easter weekend was nothing special. The Fam is Jewish so they don't celebrate it, but they got me a cute easter thing with a balloon, flowers, and some jelly beans. I let Taylor have some jellybeans..... holy mistake. That child was like a crack addict with those things. She was shaking and freaking out when we wouldnt let her have more.

So besides my missionary friends, I've been writing letters back and forth with a few friends from home. Mostly because we just like letters and think it's fun.. I received a letter yesterday from a very good friend of mine. I sat down out in the sunshine with the dogs, turned on my Bon Iver Pandora playlist.. and read it. It's amazing how much a letter can change your entire day/week/frame of mind.
"Lately I've been thinking about life and the universe. It seems like everything is so much more than we think it is...it has made me re-evaluate how I'm living. I feel like I'm seeing the wonder and magic in life for the first time. I've spent a lot of time looking for what's not here, for the moments to come. I had become a place holder in my own life, waiting for it to become what I wanted. Well my new goal is to be present for every moment...life passes too quickly. I don't want to miss it."

It was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you, friend.

Happy Tuesday from the little virgin Mary.
p.s. I made the mistake of saying "Hi Virgin Mary" to her when she was wearing this, now she won't stop saying it. Probably not a good thing to teach a Jew.
